okay i will try this in here since no one answered in the other section.
i recently found a white full of my cardinal tetra's tail, and now i noticed some of the other fish are developing wht appears to be a white patch on the tail fins. should i treat with fungus cure? i also wanted to know if i need to remove the biomax ball sin my filter for this. thanks!

do i remove the biomax or just the carbon?

I would treat with myxazin asap.

or whatever is the equivalant in your country

the only thing i have atm is from API called Fungus Cure. it is for fungus, mouth, body slime & eye cloud, fin and tail rot

Tail Fungus!!

Although it does not always just attack the tail, it is sometimes referred to as "cottontail"..... Various treatments are available.....

Take the fish in hand and touch the moldy places with a solution of a good disinfectant, such as commercial iodene solution, diluted 1:10; commercial mercurochrome solution diluted 1:10 or potassium dichromate, 1 %......Iodene and mercurochrome have the strongest activity, but for very delicate fishes it is advisable to use potassium dichromate..... Use a pencil or small brush to apply and do not touch the healthy part of the skin (continue tratment for 7 to 10 days).

(as recommended by Dr. Herbert Axelrod's Exotic Aquarium Fishes). I've tried it and it worked for me after 5 days all signs vanished.

i don't have any of those things, i only have the api fungus cure. no one answered me abotu the biomax

I think all you have to take out is the carbon, replace it after the med has finished and cured fish

i started the treatment 5hrs ago, so far everything seems okay... however my tank is totally green LMAO! I will update once this is all completed it says to wait 48hrs repeate then wait 48hrs again and do a water change.

thanks again.

hi again, should my water still be green since yesterday??

it's still pretty green, it faded a tad but not much. did i over doze? i put two packets, it says add 1 packets per 10gals so i put 2 in as i have 20gal tank.
