I just got my first fish tank for Christmas and I've set it all making sure to wash everything, even the tank, before setting it up and putting the gravel, plants, and features in. I have a filter for my tank and I treated the water as directed and now there seems to be calcium build up appearing on the walls of the tank as well as the filter, heater, and a little house I got to put in. I would greatly appreciate any sort of help to fix this problem

it's under water all over the walls of the inside of the tank. which is why it doesn't make sense for it to be something like calcium build up

Here is a link for you. The only thing I can think of that might cause this, is a high GH and KH. Do you have well water? If you do then you will have to test it yourself. If you are connected to the grid, you can call your water utility people and they should know the readings.
