Hi, does it matter what sort of tank i can use for marine fish, i mean is there a difference between a tropical tank and a marine one.

If not could i use a 4ft bow tank to start?

Regards

well I think the only thing that you could use to describe the difference between a marine tank and a tropical (besides what is stocked in it and the salinty of the water... obv :p ) would be whether its pre-drilled. Many pre-drilled tanks are advertised as marine as many reefers use a sump/refuge. Besides that, most tanks can be used for either with no prob

Wow! Another great answer from ox! I'm impressed by your knowledge and how you articulate it, as well!

Yea a 4 foot bow front would work :good:

Many thanks for your swift reply, so i can use the tank and add the other equipment as required.

yep, No prob Boro :good: You could prob even drill this yourself if you wanted or use a pre-fabricated Weir overflow to have a sump/fuge if you really wanted, but its not necessarily needed (I dont use a sump/fuge)
