i can't decide between these 1 gallon tanks
tank 1
the reveiws said it was near impossible to find replacement filters
tank 2
this has an undergravel filter, a hood so he doesn't jump and i think looks cooler. this is the one i will probably get because i don't want to worry about getting replacement filters. are undergravel filters bad?
which one is better for my betta?
peace and love

in a one gallon tank, a betta doesn't really need either filter as it is actually easy to keep such a small tank clean by doing 100% water changes weekly or 50% bi-weekly than it would be to try to keep such a small tank properly cycled. Also long finned bettas usually are not big fans of the current caused by filters. It would be cheaper to go to petsmart and buy one of their 2.5 gallon tanks (they're about 10 bucks in my area, may be more or less where you're at), then buy some of that plastic canvas stuff (sold at walmart near the yarn and crafty stuff) and make a lid to fit.

Those tanks also are much more expensive than you need, but if you must have one of them, i'd say go with the second one because it cheaper and has a hood.

well, that first one is open. Be prepared for a jumping betta..... and they are $25 in my area. You can get a one gallon here for $10 that has an airstone....
