I have 2 tanks. The new puff is currently in a 55gallon qt. I plan on deworming with metronidazole and praziquantel there before moving on to one of these 2 tanks.
Tank 1:
120gallon river-tank
ph5.9 slightly tanic
Dirted with pool filter sand cap leaf-litter and many round riverbed stones
Large wet/dry filter
Filtered full spectrum and pink leds with co2
Stock:
west african cichlids
various stone loaches
7 male congo tetras
2 leopard ctenopoma (soon to be 1)
1 crenicichla regani
Marbled crayfish
Ghost shrimp
Anubias
Java fern
Crypt balansae
Tank 2:
180gallon reefer-style with refugium sump
All natural biogenic/pool filter sand mix includes shell debris
Jungle val
Ludwigia
Bacopa
Made in China led light
Co2
ph 7.5
Stock:
20 wild green neons
4 freshwater gobies
12 ember tetras
Pair of pumpkinseeds (less than a year old)
Both tanks are on gsa dry ferts with additional phosphate and iron respectively
As much as tank 1 attempts to mimic the congo, T. schoudeni actually comes from a basin/lake region of the congo actually more like tank 2. Any thoughts? Also the ciclids might be too boisterous. I don't mind missing a few tetras.
Not my first puffer
