You missed "Other" off so that people can recommend better options, such as a small marine pred tank.

A small frogfish would look great in such a tank, or a small scorpionfish.

You should not keep Jewel Cichlids in a tank that small, I would say 30 gallon minimum, others would disagree, but they are one of the most territorial cichlids I've come across, they might be shredded in a 15gallon.

It is also too small for two red eye puffers, only one could be kept in there. Convicts deserve a bigger tank IMO but I guess they could go in there. I'm just giving advice.

I voted for Kribs, they are stunning fish and show great personalities, in breeding conditions the males colour up wonderfully. They are also unfussy about water conditions, being able to cope in low brackish water. The setup could have a pair, furnished with lots of rocks and bogwood forming caves and perhaps coconut shells, densely planted with Hygrophila and Java fern. Water should ideally be on the hardside and good water quality.

I don't think you can add anymore questions to a poll once it's started.

Cheers,
Mike

I put puffers, only because I desperately wanted some for my new tank but couldn't get hold of any.

Ok, Jewels ot of the equations, but i wrote 1 or 2 but i will have one if that wins and also i have been advised 2 short body female cons would be fine as they reach abou 3" mles 4". where as the normal cons reach 6". i really like kribs but i have had them once before when i was an early fishkeeper and the male killed the female every time. so.. its not really my fav option but it is another option.

i think the params of your water should decide what fish you keep as the fish you mention have different needs. convicts kribs and jewels like it on the hard alkaline side of the pH, rams most definitely don't. test your water and let that guide you

I still think Juwels deserve a bigger tank. The convicts should be OK I think in a tank that size if they only reach about 3", if you're not keen on Kribs, convicts will be just the same.

If not kribs I would suggest the Brackish option, more people should keep brackish. Look on the brackish section and look at the pinned topic on plantng brackish aquaria if you haven't already.

Goodluck with whatever you choose,
Mike

Tank not even set up yet... i want to find the fish i want, find info on it then build its biotype, but i can easily up or drop the ph... so tbh not a big deal ;)

Yea, defo not having Juwels. I love the Short body Cons, but i love the brackish. i have read the pinned topic on brackish and now its either Cons or Brackish...

Kribs, they are colourful and really interesting cichlids and you could breed them easily in that tank.I agree to small for juwel cichlids.
