Hi

We have just brought a Rena Aqualife 720 litre tank. The set up is with a wet and dry eheim 2229 and 2 eheim 2028's and we know we are going to need a skimmer as it is going to be a fish only tank i have been recommended a Deltec MCE600 as a nice compact quiet skimmer. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommenedations for this size of tank we really want it quiet and not too big and ugly! Are TMC V2's for example a good bet? We had a red sea prism and it was really noisy (you could hardly hear the tv!

Any advice, experience of running a good skimmer would be appreciated

Many Thanks

Jules

Well the "best" available in the UK would be either a Tunze or a Deltec for sure.

As Ski said, best will be Tunze or Deltec. The Tunze (such as 9010) will be a bit more expensive, but take up less room than the deltec.

However, most people don't really mean best, they mean best that I can buy with £x.

So what is your budget?

Hi

I suppose about £250 is the max, we are going to put a polyfilter in one of the 2 eheim's and we are running the wet and dry. I like the look of the small neat and i am informed not too noisy Deltec MCE600 but i am concerned that it might struggle with the 720 litre tank. We are running a fish only system with no live rock/sand.

your thoughts are appreciated.

Kind regards

Jules
