Which Gouramis Can I Have

I dont know much about these, heard that the dwarf gouramis get a disease, what about the honey type, are they the same and get the disease?

Honeys are the best. Keep a pair or trio.

They don't get diseses. They're much hardier and more fun to watch.

How do I tell which are the females?
will they be seperated in the fish shop?

They won't be seperated. Females are silver at all times.

Males are a honey colour. Males are only silver when they are 0-4 months old.

I have never been to a lfs and asked for fish, If I ask for a male and female they should know what is what right?

Yes. Do you have a local maidenhead aquatics near you.

Their staff know a lot. Good service and if they don't have the fish then they'll order it in for you.

just found a maiden head aquatics 2 miles away woo hoo, lol only thought we had 1 fish store here, going to go up when my car is fixed and have alook, cheers.

Best place to get fish. They have so much choice.

You never you might end up with something else because of all the choices of fish they have.

only have a 10 gallon, so cant get many fish really.

I dont have any fish yet, im currently doing a fishless cycle, these are going to be my first fish I think.

Went to the maidenhead aquatics, was great, the fish were very clean and healthy looking with lots of information on the tanks.

You should get a trio of honey gouramis.

If you want me to recommend good tank mates for them i cna.

After your tank has matured for 6 months get 4 otocinclus. They're grat algae cleaners and fun to watch.

Other tank mates are cardinal tetras. Harlequin rasboras.
