Hey,

I'm still new to this, so far I have some Platies and Danios only and everything seems good. I am soon to be getting my second tank, which is 155 litres (82x44x58), but I have no idea which fish to stock it with (after cycling obviously :p) . I want to utilise the space well and make sure I get some fish for each level and I want it to be a peaceful community tank. Something that is completely different to both Platies and Danios might be nice too. Also not something that is extremely hard to look after because I am still new, although at the same time they haven't got to be the most easy because I'm more than willing to learn.
I'm open to all suggestions as there is no specific fish that I have in mind so basically just tell me what you would put in it as your ideal stock :good:

Thanks.

i would suggest marbled hatchetts for the top level :) they seem to like shoals, or at least a few. Over the time ive had them, 3 of my 4 have died and my 1 looks lonely.

I gather you will fishless cycle the 155 litre tank then I suggest Getting a Sand Subtrate and then getting yourself a group of 4-6 cories for the bottom...OR 4-6 Kuhlii Loaches...as for mid to top level Hatchett's are good for the top level

I hadn't thought of Hatchetts, I don't really know much about them - I'll do some research :D

I did think some Cories would be nice and I do like sand although I've read bad things and am a little scared of it :(

Yes, It will be fully cycled first.

Sand is great all you have to do is "swoosh" (technical term) it about when you do a water change....also when vacuuming hover the vac over the top but not on the sand and rotate it will lift the muck up but little sand :good:

Ah, should have made that clearer  The Platies and Danios (of which there are 9) are in a different tank, this will be completely empty.
