Just out of interest,how definate is the fish per tank formula ?

Can you ''Overstock'' providing u do extra water changes?

BTW,my AQUAONE 980 99cm X 38cm X 46cm ( 173 Litres/38 Gallons ) has developed a leak .....

It's probably best to start your own thread to avoid confusion and thread hijacks ! :) as your questions have the potential for more indepth replies - but in short - there is no hard and fast rules about the inch per USGallon recommendation - though keep in mind it's based losely on your everage medium sized community fish.
Overstocking is possible (to some extent) in a very established wel mature, very well filtered and very well maintained tank. Though it very much depends on what type of fish you are dealing with. Cramped conditions is never nice :/ :no:

I;'d like to point out that the Salt Water hatchet fish that grow to be 4 inches are in no way related to the Freshwater hatchet fish that any aquarium hobyest without a high presure tank will have.
