Hi everyone reading, I currently have a 260L tank with Bala shark, Pleco, neons, some larger tetras and guppies. I'm looking to add some more fish soon and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions? I've looked at rams, loaches and angels but there always seems to be some incompatibility issue somewhere so any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Rick.

Welcome to the forum...

Suggestions?

First suggestion: Return the bala sharks.  They really aren't compatible with neons, or smaller fish, because they grow quite huge.

And unless your tank looks like this:

It isn't suitable for balas.  They are EXTREMELY active swimming fish, grow to over a foot long and appreciate being kept in large shoals.  Which means you will have 6+ feet of fish length in your fish, which is only 4 feet or so long...

Generally, the accepted minimum length of the tank for them should be 8 feet, but at the same time, I think that is far too small... Truly 12 feet is what I would consider as sufficient.  And personally, I'd rather they not have them even in the hobby as they aren't exactly 'tank friendly' because of their size, social structure, and activity level.

Once you've removed the bala sharks, you'll open up your stocking options tremendously.

What are the larger tetras? Are they the same type? How many are there of them and your neons? Sorry for all the questions.
If you're not sure what type of tetra they are, you can post a pic and someone should be able to ID them for you.
Also if you have any issues uploading pics, you can put them on a photo-sharing website such as photobucket and then link them here.

*Edit* Also, 1000x what Eagles said. I know you may really like those fish, but it's best if they're returned. :/
