Yo guys! After a break from the forums and a few months of pitiful interest in fish (when I lost Teddy, I stopped caring for a while, but I think I'm excited again), I have decided to do two new tanks. My ten gallon, which was empty, needed something exciting, and I wanted something different from bettas, so I won an auction for two dwarf freshwater puffers. This is a proven pair, so I'm anticipating that they'll do well together. If they don't, then I will take one of them to sell at my LFS. The second tank is now called the "food tank" as I've got a colony of pest snails which I will use as one of the several food sources for my puffers. I got these for free from the LFS who was happy to oblige.

Now, I'm not sure which filter should go to the ten gallon. On my twenty gallon, I have two cycled filters, a TopFin 10 and a Fluval 30. The twenty gallon has six female bettas, lots of plants, and two nerite snails named Snelly. I also picked up an Aqueon 30 (rated for 45 gallons, but with a gph of only 200, so more like up to 20 gallons) but it is not cycled. Which tank should go where? The ten gallon came with the tank and has been cycled for almost a year now. The Fluval has been cycled since September, but has a bit of new media since I borrowed some for the snail tank.

TL;DR: two cycled filters (Fluval 30, TopFin 10) and one brand new filter (Aqueon 30, 200gph). Which filters stay with twenty gallon (six female bettas), and which goes to the ten gallon (planted, will hold two dwarf puffers)?

Ordered my puffers. They are coming in on Wednesday, so I know it isn't feasible to put the new filter in the tank right now. I haven't opened it up to see what the inside looks like. I might still be able to move some media over to it. Thoughts?
