Ok we have a 70L jewl tank that has my last 100 or so apples in which are going to my LFS this week, i then have a empty 70L and as luck would have it been given the chnace to get 6 Galaxy Rasbora/Celestial Pearl Danio for £20.

Now the internal jewl has been fine and fully cycled with all those snails so do i:

A. Keep the jewl internal and just set the tank up as normal.
B. Cut out the internal and replace with Fluval U2(would one of these be better)
c. Just add the U2 or a APS external (babby one rated at 70L) along side the internal?

ta :good:

I'd remove the internal and replace it with something like a Tetratec ex700, or an APS filter rated at 700LPH or there abouts.

That not a bit OTT for 70L and 6 rasbora? I should have send trying to this bit on budget i just got rio 300 and the mrs is just looking for an exuse to file for divorce

if i go external i may aswell go for the APS 1000 £45.

Not really, 10x turn over is a good target to aim for, it will be halved once the media is in, and C.margaritatus does like some good water movement, mine loved it.

Ah in that case i have a Aqua one CF 1050 canister and head sitting here maybe i can use that? Hose's will cost nothing but i cant for the life of me find a input/output/spray bar for cheap any ideas?

PVC pipe with holes drilled into it, or buy a new set of pipes, that'd be fine to use.
