Which External Filter?

I have a 90Ltr aqua one and it has the usual problem of the powerhead sounding like a jackhammer, so I was gonna buy an All Pond Solutions external cansister but I dont know which one. They do a 1000Ltr/h, a 1400Ltr/h with 9w UV lamp or a 2000Ltr/h with 9w UV lamp. I was thinking of the 1400Ltr/h because I thought the 2000Ltr/h would be far too much turnover. So my question is which one?

General rule of thumb 10x tank turnover in an hour is plenty. So you'd be looking at the closest to 900lph at the most, that in mind as you said the 1000 is IMO best.

So ill probably go with the 1400Ltr/h because once I have all the media in there the flow will be decreased anyway and plus it has the UV lamp which is a bonus.

I've had the 1400l version running on my Oscars tank for a couple of weeks now, and I can recommend it. Easy to set up, easy to maintain; great filter.

ahh good to hear. Is it silent?

Almost totally; I have to look at the spray bar to check it's working. I guess you can hear the faintest of hums if you really listen and stick your head next to it!

I'm seriously considering saving up and changing to them on all my tanks now; that's how happy I am with it!
