Which Breed Of Fish ?

has the filter you wil be using been switched of or allowed to dry or is it still in use at the moment? makes a big difference

it's been off for around a month tank has been lying in my uncles garage . Picking it up tomorrow night after work then leaving it to cycle for a few days

Was told that will be ok as filter has already been used in the tank so there will still be bacteria etc in the filter . Theres another filter there aswell an external one and that was used up until around 2 weeks ago.

Was also wondering what kind of plants to get i want some live ones to put near the back of the tank ...i seen some called corkscrew ? I think lol

don't want it totally filled with live plants tho as i know the stress my grandad had to go through trimming them and cleaning the filter out so often due to the bits of plant gettin stuck etc

So i thought a few would do the trick as it will slightly oxygenate the water n also give fish something to munch on

Tank Comes Tonight ::

Should i get the plants to put in it tonight ?

Or will it not effect the water balance if i put them in later on ?

Meant to be going shopping to get bits n bobs for tank tomorrow evening and to see what fish they have

Need a lil bit of help !

Tank is being set up as i type

As i said before there is an internal filter which in all respect is a bit #### but it seems to have been siliconed to the tank !!

We've empiet all the filter out and basically left with a big emtpy box is there anyway we can remove it without messing the tank up ?

It's been siliconed where inside corner and at the outer edges Not Really fuseed if it 's there just worried incase fish get into it and end up gettin stuck

Think boyfriend just wants to remove for perfection kinda thing ! LOL

Any help woudl be great
