which botia or loach eats snails?

are you sure that you have enough lighting, proper nutrients, etc....it sounds like a nutrient deficiency if there are THAT many holes and they are acutally wilting!

it could be the case abstract. but i only assumed it was snails since i see the on my plants constantly. the plants are standing its just where the holes are that the plants seem to bend. other than that tehy are still growing good and have good color. i have low light plants as reccomended in the proven performers articles such as anubias and java fern and some other type of fern. running on just a bout 1 watt per gallon till i get a new flourescent tube hood. im using power compacts right now.

my guess is although they are low light plants, 1 wpg is still too little light for them and that is why they are going bad...unless you physically see holes where the snails were a second ago i doubt the snails are munching that much....maybe take a read in the Planted tank forum and get some pointers on nutrients, etc ....but i bet when you get new lights everything will pick up!
