which bit of yolk do fry eat?

so please could someone tell me which?? do they eat the yellow or white? am gessing yellow for the protein...

well you answered it in your question, they eat the yolk.. but only a bit, and it also fouls up the water quickly, why dont u crush up flakes realy realy small (so its like a powder) untill you can get some liquifry?

but even tho its got lots of protine it fowls up the water, when i had platie fry i was feeding them egg yolk and every time i fed them i had to change the water.. its was horrible an stunk..

the liquifry has alot more of what the fish need, and crushed flakes dont stink out ur tank.

hmm i see ur point, i think i will go wiv liquifry next time i go LFS, i did however give them some egg yolk in and the fry left it... but the rosy barbs ate it straight away, so am leaving my fry on flakes for now, thanks for the advice though
