Hi people
I'm new to the forum and im planning to go down the betta splenden route
I have kept them before but in a community tank
I have a marine tank at the moment but everytime I go to the lfs I always stop and admire the bettas
So here is my plan
Buy a few of the fluval spec tanks think they 7.6 lts or somethin like that to house males and a bigger tank for a few females
Problem is I can't seem to find the males I want
I seem to find lots of pistures of one that I like but not in this country they seem to be from the us
The colours what I'm looking for are black and orange halfmoons or all black or all white
I have seen one for sale on bettaboys website that I like but its not the first choice so to say granted its a beaut
If people type in black and orange betta in google a few links for youtube come up with some amazing bettas but they are sold and from us if anyone has or knows where to get these colours from the uk I would be very grateful
As I don't have loads of room for multiple males as of yet I have to be picky so please don't be offened by any of my remarks above

Thanks for readin mike

Hi,

I have purchased a few from eBay in the past, just had a quick look and found this seller who has some beautiful males: eBay bettas

Please note I haven't purchased from this seller before, so it's not a recommendation. Just thought I would point them out as they do delivery.

This link goes to the ebay id for bettaboys! :good: Whilst bettaboys may not have exactly what you want at the moment they may well be able to obtain in their next shipment. Always good to give them a call as they will go out of their way to help you find exactly what you are looking for :D I have seen a gorgeous black and orange HM male in their shop in recent months.

As for tank sizes,- everyone is different in what they think of as suitable for a male betta,- which really doesn't help I know lol! The smallest I have ever gone for was a temporary 10 litre tank,- but I know that other betta keepers do keep their boys happy and healthy in smaller volumes. It's just a case of frequent water changes :)
