Where To Find?

Hey all so I have decided to set up my fifty gallon pretty much as soon as I can find some nice wood...Does anybody know of a good place/website that I can get some nice manzanita wood or something that looks like it?

Btw I keep checking ebay...nothing I like yet.

Try looking for Mopani root instead, looks fairly similar

Meggie, I see you are in the US. We have Manzanita growing all around in the foothills and mountains here. If you are in the Southwest, you can collect your own.

Oddly, although it is practically right outside my door, I've never thought to use it in a tank. :blush:

I always used for parrot perches and such. Does it take a long time to waterlog? Seems like it would due to the density of the wood and the smooth bark.
