where to buy fish

just wondering...
are places like petco bad places to buy fish? and i was also curious about buying fish online...any good references?

Buying fish at Petco has been discussed many times here. It really depends on the particular Petco. Some have good luck with Petco fish, while others like me do not. Do you have friends that have bought fish from your local Petco that you could use as a reference? Another thought is to closely check out your local Petco... do the tanks look clean? are there dead fish, or unhappy looking fish? The good thing about Petco is that they have a good return policy if you have a problem with the fish... like 15 days or something like that.

I find that all places are good but it depends on who. i find that the local places are unreliable but some ppl don't and i go out of the way to get fish and nice ones too
