Where To Buy Braceless Tanks?

Hey guys and gals, I wonder if anyone could help.

I've been wanting a small tank (under 24" length) in my bedroom for a while now and I quite like the idea of a braceless tank and starting from scratch etc. I've been looking all over google and I can't seem to find any small ones that don't cost a fortune as they are custom made. Does anyone have any ideas on where I could buy a ready made one?

Yup, that's what I mean...A tank that's just plain glass, no edges or anything.

Why couldn't I have just said that?

If it's under 2ft you should be fine to buy a standard tank and remove any excess bits you don't want. Obviously you'd need to find someone who properly knows about the structural integrity of the tanks, but it's unlikely it would affect it.

Where in the world are you?

I have an 18" x 12" x 12" tank which is braceless and actually very nicely made - as said previously though, a small tank doesn't need braces so you can just buy a tank and take the braces off!

To be honest, it's really only to keep a Betta in (that sounds really bad), but I would love a plain tank.

Ah, I'm a bit far from you unfortunately, but I bet you could get a 12" cube or 18" x 12" x 12" either from the shops for cheap or else possibly cheaper if you have it custom made by a local manufacturer.

It's easy peasy. Any plastic trim (like the Clearseal tanks often have) just pulls off. You can either leave the 'shelvey' bits in, they aren't that obtrusive and give you somewhere to rest a cover, or go at them with a stanley knife. Any excess silicon can be scraped off or I think ethanol will remove it.
