So quick update for you, I added one more of the tetras, and I don’t know if it’s because it’s a female (the rest look like males), or just the extra comfort, but they are shoaling so much better. They were active before, but just with that one new pal they are way more a social grouping. I never would have guessed just one more fish would make such a huge difference.

So, basically a month later, and it’s pretty much a whole new tank. I re-homed my turtle. Added 9 x-ray tetras, and 2 more Buenos Aires tetras (total school of 8 now). I’ve also added a few new plants, moneywort, hornswort, and jungle Val. I also put in a powerhead. Put in a new centerpiece of driftwood and slate, as well as added a bit more sand. Keeping with the half black, half white.
