I got home late last night and popped my head to make sure all was cool in the tank. I was amazed to see 3 little guppie fry scooting about! I could not see any of my fish giving birth at that time and the one female guppie that looks fit to burst is still the same shape? None of the female guppies look any different and there were no more fry visible this morning. I managed to round up the five I could see last night and put them into my breeding trap until they are a little larger. I just don't know who has given birth to them as they all look the same size!

congrats on the fry
love the video your tank looks spetacular :good:

BTW, I want all five of my first ever fry to survive and they seem pretty happy in the breeding trap. I have been feeding liquifry twice a day with a very small amount of finely crushed flake. How long should I keep them in there before I release them back into the tank? I don;t want to stunt their growth but as they are my first babies I don't want them gobbled up!

What else do you have in the tank Stuart? If it includes the dwarf gouramis, it will be quite a while before those fry will be big enough to survive inmolested in the tank. In that case I would not even try it until the fry are at least half the size of the adult male guppies.

Well I have bought a little 5 litre tank with a filter that connects to my airpump!
Have set it up and will run overnight with water from the main tank and am thinking of transferring the fry over to that tomorrow? would that be too soon?

The fry could be moved as soon as they are born to suitable quarters. A tiny 5 litres will require that you do very frequent and very large water changes. It simply will not be stable as far as processing wastes so it will require your attention to keep them under control.
