Hi everybody,
I was really pleasantly surprised when after completing a water change, out of nowhere swam some little baby fry. I quickly grabbed my breeding box and caught 4 in total and definitely 2 got eaten i don't know how long ago they were born but my white molly has been looking pregnant for ages and I'd given up trying to work out if and when she was going to have babies! not long after putting the 4 in the box they just laid on their sides lifeless in the bottom, when looking really really closely i could see the mouths or gills moving on a couple of them. I was hoping for the best and thinking that they were just weak and shell shocked or something. After I went to bed, my mum turned off the aquarium light and saw a bit of movement, but half an hour later she looked over and they were all gone!!!! Where could they have gone?!!! Surely the little slots in the breeding box are too small for them to wiggle through or get pulled through by other fish? I had put a small piece of live plant in there but I'm sure they're not hiding, they're gone! Has anyone got any ideas on what could have happened? My first baby fry and I'm don't know what's happened! Thanks in advance for any ideas/advice,
Hayley
