Welcome to our forum AmyWills.
For mollies, this link is even easier for a newcomer to use to judge progress, especially molly progress.

The link is some fantastic info from oldman47!

It is hard to tell sometimes. We left our tank for a couple of days and one or two mollies looked pregnant but appeared way off giving birth.
Unfortunately, we lost 3 or 4 existing fry but saw more new fry that had been born. The lucky ones were able to pass through the homemade divider to safety and i rescued a few more as well.
The fry are resourceful and will be able to hide in the tank if you have plenty of good hiding spots with decor or plants. I have found them safe behind heaters and filters where bigger fish cant get to.

Molly fry are huge compared to things like platies, so they almost always have a decent survival rate in a tank full of things like mollies or guppies. If they are given adequate cover, you will end up with more fry than you have room to keep. It is just the nature of mollies.
