When To Switch Food?

When do I switch what I feed my platy fry? They are almost 3 weeks old now. They are in a 5 gallon tank with mom who is pregnant again. Right now they get hikari first bites 3-4 times a day. Mom gets omega one flakes once a day. Can I start switching to flakes?

They should be fine with crushed flakes.
I just crush some between my fingers when feeding the adults

They can switch at any time. Fry food is often a bit richer than adult food, to support faster growth. Otherwise fry can be fed adult food, just ground up between finger tips, the day they are born. Because I colony breed my livebearers, I try to make sure the adults get good rich food and let the fry scavenge for themselves from that same food.
