i returned home the other night from the pub and turned my light on to look at my tank upon doing that i noticed my clown loach 2 of my phatom tetras and my female guppies where really pale and looked like they lost there gravid spot

anyway turned off the light went to bed awoke the next morning turned on the tank and they where fine back to the normal colour and the guppies had there gravid spot back i was confused but i just thought it was the 8 pints of stella lol

just retuned home from my mrs house turned on my light and agian my females looked pale and not pregnant 2 of my black phatoms looked pale and my clown loach again and plus my male guppy was laying on the gravel with his arm fins waving fast up above his body  now the light has been on for about an hour everything is fine and back to normal can someone tell me what happens when the light goes off ..its really strange

any ideas ??

same happens to me mate, Guppy sleeping on the gravel is pretty normal if you ask me. Also when you take a fish home from the shop and they are in the darkness of the bag they lose there colour and go pale. Everything seems normal there to me.

Lots of fish seem to lose a lot of their colour when they are sleeping Jackson. It is quite normal and is not a reason for concern. In this case it wasn't the Stella that caused the vision, it was a real sight you were seeing.
