When Everyone Says "x Amount Of Gallons" On Here...

Just wondering. As lots of you say, "It should be kept in a x gallon tank".

On these forums, are the majority of you talking in terms of US or UK gallons?

I've always used US gallons personally, but i'm not from the US. I think that most people on here refer to gallons in US, but not sure. Why not start a poll on this thread? That would be interesting to see!

What is the difference in quantity between the two? I thought a gallon was a gallon lol...I'm in Canada and we use litres for measurement but for fish tanks it's always referred to in U.S gallons.

I normally use litres, as that way you cant go wrong, and im not very good with imperial mesurements lol. But I would use UK gallons.

Maybe everyone should use litres

I use litres and it does get confusing having to refer back all the tme to a persons profile to work out which gallons they are using for their volumes. I now have a spreed sheet with my tanks literage and then other colomns where I have converted these into UK and US gallons.

Just use Litres, saves confusion and it is the standard now.

Yes, but it adds to my confusion, so there's no possible way I could
