I've had my little 6 gallon for around a month and a bit now, but its driving me crazy! I'd kill for a 40 gallon but my parents and sister say I should hold back! :X

I WANNA BIGGER TANK! :(

I had a 4.4uk gallon tank since christmas, now I just got me a bigger tank. Its about 26 uk gallons and it cost £129!

Birthday pressie!

Hope you get your new tank you want!

Congrats to you for the bigger tank. Hope you have fun with it :)

I'll probably have to wait till christmas to get mine. Its not so much that I want more fish I just wish I had more room for my clown loaches.

I've had a 15 gallon for about a month and just go a 65 gallon the other day. I'm not gonna be filling up the 65 gallon for a long time though because I don't have any money :D .

I take it you guys are quite young and therefore need to rely on parents, christmas, birthdays etc to raise funds. You have my total sympathy waiting is HARD :(

Incitic - that tank looks lovely and the loaches appear to be quite small still so you should be ok for a while. :p

Best of luck with the backmailing techniques :grr: :hyper:

today I asked my mum if I could get a new (bigger!) tank and she didn't say no! she didn't say yes either...but it's a start :)

im 18 and i still live at home. i have 22 tanks (soon adding a 40gal to make 23 :D ) my mom doesnt care as long as they are all in my room so she doesnt have to see them. (well 2 of my breeding tanks are in the downstairs bathroom-i know thats an odd place)...
the cheapest tanks are 10gals. you can get those for 8-10 dollars. if you cant get a huge tank, at least upgrade to a 10.
what fish do you have in your six?

Lol that about somes it up. I need a job :(

I was lucky enough to have started with a good sized tank, my first tank was a 44 gallon but this doesnt mean small tanks are no good, many of my tanks are 10, 15 and 20 gallon tanks which are great for breeding projects and small species tanks.

I started with a 55, but went down the expensive route of buying from a big shop, then getting filters etc separately. Wish I'd just been patient and got one from ebay!!!! Next one I got was from there. Its a 50g and I got it for about 1/4 of what the other one cost!!! and it's practically perfect condition!!!

I started off with a 15g from a friend as a swap for an old 21" TV. 6 weeks later we bought a 30g as it was a good deal and on Saturday we're off to get another 30g :D

This may sound kind of parentish :p (But hey, that's what i am) Perhaps your mom is just waiting to see if you can do this long term before she commits to anything else. I remember (or at least have brief flashes of) when i got my first tank, mom and dad would not even listen when i asked for a bigger tank. But every so often i would catch them watching the fish just like i would, so i knew it was just a matter of time. Just like i mention in posts here very often, Patience will be rewarded. :p ;) I am sure if you look after it and get your folks involved they will let you convince them you need a bigger tank.
Good Luck :)

P.S.
Dont be a pain in the @ss about it though.
