When Can I Sex And Seperate My Livebearers?

Id like to seperate the males and females of my platy/sword fry. They are roughly 3 weeks old now, going on 4 and I want to get them split up before they are sexually mature so we can assure virgin females. Any advice would be appreciated.

if you see gravid spots then there female, will take the males a little longer to develope but you may see some difference in body shapes appearing

You actually cannot see them on these females because they are solid black I was more wondering when the males would show so I could move them out.

2-3 months is approximately when you will see males develop their male organs, but be aware that the presence of a mature male will slow the development of other males. What you think may be a sex changing female is actually just a slow developing male.
