the one and only
hi
i have platy fry ( as no doubt you know as i was all singing and dancing when they were born lol)
anyway they were born on the 24th and the 26th of febuary, some are (........) this big and some are (....) mainley its the girls that are bigger, but some look very small, but healthy.
i was wondering when i have to split the males from the females,so that they dont start breeding again ! some of them i can easily sex, but some of the smaller ones are too small ( im old and have bad eyesight lol) they are all really well and i love them to bits, when they were born i was planning on selling them to the lfs when they were big enough, but i cant now cos i love them. there are about 40 of them in a 3ft tank, not anywhere as bad as it sounds i promise!! i do a small water change everynight when i go up to bed ( the joys of en-suite!) and they get fed at least 4 times a a day.some of the girls are looking a bit fat( but beautiful!) and im just wondering ..but.they are too young right?? at the moment i am struggling for tank space in my other tanks,as i recently had my 4ft ( favorite in all the world of cousre) get smashed so i am left with 3 x 3ft ( one is the fry tank)( tanks contain, clown loach, siamese ff,gouramis, plecs - rescued from 4ft-not over stocked but i think they would eat the babies)
1x 18x12 inch (was tiny fry tank)- empty
1 x 30l biorb-1 siamese ff
1x 2ft my little boys tank with platys and neons and guppies in ( about 10 of them)
anyway will i be ok having them all in together where they are for a little while longer while i sort out a new 4ft tank?
DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT SUGGESTING FEEDING THEM TO THE OTHER FISH please!
i will get a photo on as soon as i can, but they batteies in my camera have somehow found their way to my sons metal detector( kids!!) so ill nick them back and do my best...... but plz feel free to advise anyway
many thanks
