When Can I Put Baby Guppy Into Big Tank

I have 11 baby guppys in my hospital tank but the tank is really small and it seems to be taking them a while to grow.
they are 5 weeks old now and i would like to take the biggest out and put in my main tank, which has a angel fish. the baby is about 3cm long.

I put some of my platy fry in my main tank at 4 weeks old,i only lost one due to getting stuck in the filter, 3cms is still small especially has you have an angel fish,might decide to snack on them.

I have noticed my platy fry growing a lot quicker since i've been doing 50% w/c everyday,faster than the first batch 4 weeks before.

As soon as they are large enough not to fit into you fishes mouths then its safe to put them in the main tank!

The advice to do 50% daily water changes is a good way to get those guppies growing bigger fast. Water changes are always a good way to get livebearers growing faster. There is something in the water that slows their growth and I have seen speculation that there are chemicals from the fry themselves that slow their growth. Although we really don't know why the technique has proven effective time and again.

Most lfs here won't give me anything for my young platies,but are willing enough to take them off my hands perhaps you can advertise local to you,i'm going to put an ad in the local free paper when my fry have grown more.

Ok thanks will do,the oldest ones are around 6 weeks but growing fast,so will be a month or 2 yet
