Whats Wrong?

Hey im new to these forums,
i just wanted to know if sumbody could help me with my problem, my fighting fish is like normal he is getting fatter and not really interested in doing anything except eating! he swims for abit n then goes to the bottom of the tank again either next to the plant or in the corner! can anybody help me?

how often do you do a water change?

i change the water every 1 to 2 weeks and i feed him sum betta food i baught at the shops... he loves it i used to feed him 3 times a day but not alot only a little bit and have since changed that to once a day for now!

O.O Cracker, thats an absolutely horrific picture. Thank goodness Nipper didn't look like that before she passed on... (I'm thinking that pic is an extreme case of pineconing / dropsy?)

no nothing like that! that tank is not filtered but it is heated! i am going to buy a filter next week or so, when i get time to go out!

I just lost a fish,cant think of name like a ryukin but no top fin, to dropsy. Thank god he didnt take long to die they look horrid.

that is not good. u need to put your fish through more excercise training (kickriffles, swishlaps, etc)
