Whats wrong with my fish!?

Hi, today i noticed some of my fish seem to keep going at each other as if they're trying to pick something of the other fish. I just caught my platy going after my male gourami too. Any ideas of what it could be???

Are they picking at the gills, are the gills red and inflamed or pale, are they flicking and rubbing, and heavy breathing abit, sounds like it could be a parasite.

haven't noticed if they're inflamed. they didn't seem to be. Don't ask me why but i added some melafix after my water change tonight. Not that thats gonna help.

My fish were pecking at one another thought they were being nasty, but it turned out to be gill flukes they were pecking an the parasite.

my male guppy keeps picking at my female guppies and also my female platy. it seems to be happening at the rear end of the females the're attacking.

Sounds like he's trying to mate with them

i do however have 2 males and 2 female guppies which i know is wrong for the ratio of males to females. I bought a female again today so just need to get another one soon.

The reason i had 2 males and 2 females was because i asked the guy at my lfs to get me 2 females and instead he got me a male and female.
