My gourami has had these white marks, that almost make his skin look like a piece of crumbled paper- with white crackle lines on one side & spots on the other. The spots are not cotton-like as the picture seems to show. He's had this for a while & one day was belly-up & came back to life when we changed the water. It's a 20 gal tank with 2 danios & a catfish which is suffering upside down as I am typing. We are headed to the store for a water test kit & medicine- but what to get? Please help, I don't like to see my fish suffering. Please cut & paste this link to view the 3 photos I took http://www.flickr.com/photos/84219116@N05/
Any help is appreciated

Sorry, double post

Hi nicki, welcome to the forum and I'm sorry your fish is poorly :(

It looks like some sort of fungus to me, so a med for that would be your best bet.

Do test your water as well, and do enough water changes to make sure that both ammonia and nitrite stay under 0.25ppm. Most fish diseases tun out to be related to poor water quality, so keep close eye on that.

Best of luck; post back if you need more help :good:
