Well this morning I finally found an oscar I really liked. Merlin's a little 6cm long albino, but he has this really cool patterning in his tail which I haven't seen before on any of the pages I found on the net or in any of my research. Was just curious to know if their was a name for the variety?

looks like a normal albino to me, cant see the tail very well in this pic, its maybe because he/she is still very young it will start to look more like this soon....

When young, oscars have a very aggressive tiger striping of black and brown. This is presumably for when they are small in nature and need to camoflauge into the background so they are not eaten. It gradually fades and their adult colors begin to flourish as they grow
