I knew you were going to say that!If you can contain your excitement, this Friday perhaps, just a fraction under a fortnight since getting the original six?(while the tank is new, its far safer to try and add new fish fortnightly to avoid toxin spikes, plus it will also give you more time to research fish that have a temprement/temp/water conditions similar to those fish you already have)![]()
How have the original six settled in? Have the males started to "colour-up" with all those lovely reds, yellows amd oranges?
I can. I was figuring that they are still pretty shy and would be more 'comfortable' in a larger group. I can tell the two males, but no, they really haven't colored up yet.
The test was after the fish had been in there for a bit.
Money issues all around! That is very stressful! The fish look lovely (meant to write this some time ago, but I've been a bit stressed with money issues plus I've had a cold, a great combo for me becoming forgetful)!![]()
75% water changes are addicting... just can't stop myself!Hopefully a week or so on since getting the new 8 Odessas, the bacterial colonies should now have caught up, giving you "double zeros?" (Although youe last post about doing 75% water changes suggests there are still some issues).
Actually, it's not every day... the tests are not bad. Just want to make sure that we have good water in there!Yes, 2 - 5 gallon buckets to be exact! But, the 'ball' in the syphon fell out yesterday so I'm going to have to figure something else out. I had to 'improvise' on my 2nd tank yesterday and that wasn't too fun. That gravel syphon looks rather familar, makes water changes quite effective and painless, when used with a 3+ gallon bucket![]()
