stumbled across this while browsing plants ,it seems to make some pretty bold claims if you ask me , what do you think?

I would like to know how they claim it works, let me know if you find anymore info out, not that I want one lol
regards scot :)

Mark, don't buy one of those...buy one of these...

patent Ianho, let me present to you the Black shadow moonshine stone

it also attracts every kind of algae known to man, because the stone is alive, its so slow growing it attracts all algae. It also will do the washing up, and sit with you and watch TV while the missus is out with the girls. Rambo is one of the stones faves. When your fed up with the stone you can put it in your petrol tank of your car and use the stone as biofuel.

For you Mark i can do the Black Shadow moonshine stone for a fiver and a nice bit of bogwood.

well i think silver is a mild antibacterial ? you get colloidal silver and plasters with silver in them which aid healing. dont know how that would help with algae though!

^^ I actually lol'd, mainly at the effort you put into writing that but also at the content :good:

I too cant see how it'll stop algae but it'd be nice to hear their explanation. I might google it...

Back from googling. Silver bullet seems to be a 'phrase' used to mean something that is a quick fix (that doesn't neccesarily work), much like the phrase snake oil. I think it might well be a joke product.

Great work.

I do not trust the mumbo jumbo either. If you know how to provide for you plants, you will most likely not get algae.

llj

It's nonsense of course ;)

But Silver is an inhibitor of ethylene, which is a plant hormone and known to be produced by algae.

Not really read the paper but they production of ethylene takes place in younger cells, if you were to inhibit the ethylene it could potentially prevent algae growth.
