hi just wanted peoples opinion on really good heating options for my 25gallon tanks. At the moment i have the fluval E200w which is probably the worst thing i ever bought every morning its lost 2degrees in the night then it takes a good 6 hours to get back up to temperature a 200w heater in a 25gallon tank what a joke.
so your imput would be greatly appreciated

that extra 100 watts would shave 40 minutes of the time, the heaters can only stay on for a set amount of time, other wise there's a chance they could over heat.

Also 2 degrees is nothing, it's far less extreme than the temperature changes in the wild.

ok i will just leave it then just looked outside and its snowing so that would explain it

I find the eheim heaters to be great and very accurate. I've always had issues with Elites - my last one started giving off sparks when I switched it on in the tank - luckily no fish were in there

The only difference between when you had your old heater and now when you have the Fluval, is that your measuring the temperature more accurately now because of the easy to read, faster changing in-built thermometer.

That and obviously 200w will heat up the water slower than 300w.

2 degrees...as mentioned is absolutely not a problem.

One thing hat would help is having a better water flow over the heater though.
