Hi all

i was looking at getting some Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish, so i just phoned up a maidenhead aquatics and they want £9. are these fish really that expensive. i know £9 aint a lot of money but i did not think they were quite that much.

Whats the normal going rate for them or is the price they quoted correct.

as above really, i paid £2.50 each when i had mine.

some maidenheads are very expensive im not sure how they ever sell stock..... luckily the one near me is very decently priced :good:

yeah, i noticed there prices vary from branch to branch. The Morden branch that is a 5 minute walk from me wanted £7.50 for Keyhole Cichlids (none in stock though) but the Syon Park one wanted £5 for the same fish, again Morden wanted £6.50 for Bolivian rams and Syon Park wanted £5 so Morden branch is more expensive than the Syon Park branch. Just my luck that the more expensive one is nearer to me.

Customer price that, I work at Calder Valley Koi and aquatic center

thats a really good price then. everyone who has replied to me has said prices that are no where near what i was quoted from maidenhead aquatics, either they are really bumping up the price or he quoted me for the wrong fish. the quote was over the phone so maybe he did quote me for the wrong fish, well i like to think he did.

Boesmani rainbows tend to be pricier and some places can mistake them for the preacox. They are a lovely fish and i've got 6 of them myself :good:
