Hi

Im looking for a good liquid plant fert i have terta substrate in already any recomendations? I been using tetra plantamin very expensive considerin amount required with not much luck! says the re-dose every 4 weeks im sure things would get prity low by then!

So I was thinking:

Tropica Plant Nutrition

or

Seachem Flourish and also the iron

Any ideas which ones easyer for the beginer green fingers? I cant keep killing plants like this its costing the earth lol!

Tropica Plant Nutrition is only a trace element fertilizer..you still need N P and K

Buying dry ferts (gregwatson.com) is probably the easiest, then you can mix your own liquid.

when i first started out i bought flourish nitrogen and flourish potassium. phosphate isnt really needed as the tank should have enough of this for moderate growth.

how many WPG do you have in your tank?

yeah, I used to use Flourish, but now I'm gonna buy some stuff from Greg Watsons site, or for the UK I think a site where you can be dry fertilizers is www.aquaessentials.com or something like that. Its somewhere in a pinned topic, It might be the estimative index pinned topic

Both are excellent. I wouldn't worry to much about adding N and P unless its a high light tank. If needs be, the tropica plant nutrition comes in a 'plus' form which contains N and P.
