I've just came back from the fish store with some new fish for our tank (the last batch - so we are now fully stocked)
I've got 2 new sailfin molly girls and some platies. As soon as they gone into the tank the male sailfin and the standard molly really started chasing the 2 new sailfin molly females. Almost to the point where they were in competition with each other (the 2 males) I've never seen them doing this before even though we have 3 molly females and there used to be 1 female sailfin.
Why are they chasing the new girls all of the sudden?
Don't tell me that they are like humans: as soon as new girl arrive to the scene the guys are all over the new "stock" :))))

Yes, they are like humans, except fish are more upfront about their intentions; they just want to be the first to impregnate them!

Male livebearers think only about sex and eating!

:DDD That's really funny!
Hopefully they will let up soon - poor girls don't know where to hide from them anymore - luckily I have heaps of plants in the tank where they can escape to.

Hahhahahah! They should settle Down soon, they are just excited!

lol this made me laugh :)
