Option one once maintanance is done, i like to see the fish happy and watch them.

I like doing the maintanance but only for the pleasure of sitting back with a nice glass of red wine and enjoying them knowing that Ive done a good job and they are happy.

I rather enjoy getting down and doing all the dirty, mechanical work - setting up, rearranging, water changes, DIY projects, and that lot. Watching the fish swim around in a beautiful tank that I'm proud of is my reward ^^

A big part of the hobby for me is learning and helping others on the forum. I also enjoy shopping and trying to find unusual species of corydoras to add to my collection.

That is even more fun than doing the work or just watching them.

Me too. I love walking into a petstore and having cash on me while I see a beautiful betta/fish..

I enjoy "the work" mainly with the fish not necessarily on the tank but purely because of the rewards, beautiful healthy happy fish.

Why do I say this.

While Yes seeing the fish Swim is a very relaxing aspect of Fishkeeping, And seeing them eat goo is also Fantastic to watch.

There is nothing better for me at least, then to Work on getting my tank all Cleaned Up, and setting out the decorations. Then after all is Said and done you get to look back at Nothing Less then a Masterpiece.

That by God's Wonderful Grace he allowed you to Create.

And watch your fish swim and explore all of the different things that you have done for them.

If you don't enjoy the Work, then Fishkeeping isn't for you.
It's not always easy by any means.

But no Hobby is as Awarding as Fishkeeping is.

To a True Fishkeeper it's all fun as well as rewarding.
