he moves if another fish gets close to him, but otherwise, he just kind of lays there on the bottom of the tank... here's a picture of him. (he's gotten quite plump lately too)

I don't know the stats of the water, but it's still cycling, and I changed it (25%) yesterday.

----edit----

He's being picked on by one of the other males. I am wondering if I should leave them be or not. i haven't cleaned out the tank yet, but i've got to go get cleaned up, and i do NOT trust the cat and a fish in an open container downstairs.

She isn't well if she resting on the bottom of the tank, she looks bloated i would say she has a bacterial infection, is there anyway you can issolate her so the other fish don't stress her any further.

Yeah i agree she looks quite stressed, what does her poop look like- is it white/stringy at all? Her fins look sorta clamped as well, i would test your water for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates ASAP, in the mean time i would do a 30% water change with dechlorinator so in the scenario you have water quality issues verging on destruction of your tank, a water change will help alot  .

Ok. I have to finish getting the downstairs clean (dog ate a couple cardboard boxes... and it's a mess) then I will... she was back up and swimming a few minutes ago.

The only other tank I have is the betta tank- and he's in there. Can I put her in there?

No i wouldn't ,or you could get an icecream box and float her in it at the top of the tank, how's she swimming can she maintain her balance, cycling tank are no good on fish as it takes it's toll on them, sometimes there immune systems shut down and then desease sets in.

she's swimming just fine- just laying on the bottom. the pristella (females) swim over to her and just hang out there for a couple seconds, and swim off, then she'll get up and swim, and come back to her little spot... and they'll do the same thing over again.

i don't have any ice cream boxes. all i have are tupperware containers.

That's fine the tupperware box, i've had livebearers do this once they rest on the bottom they are poorly and dieing, sounds like she has a bacterial infection or the cycle has just took it's toll on her, sorry.

it's ok. i'm thinking about taking the mollys back tomorrow anyways... i'm learning they are too many in the small tank. i might just stick with the tetras and pleco for now.

ok, she's in a little container now... those tetras are very protective! the females all gathered around her so I couldn't catch her as easily... do you think she'll be ok? is there anything I can do for her? She's acting a lot more normal now too.... I'm having to keep an eye on her though- the cat spotted her on the counter. (it's a good thing the cat is too fat and lazy to jump anywhere though)

i think they meant i should have put something in the tank and put him in it... he was fine- i promise. i saw him at the pet store today.... still chubby. i feel bad i had to take them back... :(

the container should be floating in the top of the tank she came out of dude!

keeps the heat in.
What the heck do you mean "she came out of dude"?

ive some across you twice now and youve had an attitude for no reason both times.

saw someone else complainin about ya too. maybe take a hint?

he sed sumfin like "the cat spotted her on the counter" which i thought meant the fish was left un heated.

so i sed float the container shes in, in the tank that she came out of.

do u understand?

Are you talking to me? What did I do all I did was ask what "she came out of dude" meant, I wasn't being rude. ???? I just didn't reread the sentence before I wrote that.

Hi kairi :)

I'm glad that your fish is over the problem. Since it is, I am going to close your thread to stop the bickering between the other members. :grr:
