Looking for a real "schooling" fish. that stays snug together. and isnt too large. (the smaller is better) probably want 10-12...
My favorite so far have been the ember tetra. I don't want neons! Also needs to be something i can find.. I have had trouble with the finding the embers from somwhere i trust.
any suggestions? thank you!!

20gal
8 long fin danios
1 mini crayfish (lots of hiding spots)
1 mystery snail
1 nerite snail
several ghost shrimp

Would say Copper Harlequin (espei) are a very attractive schooling fish.

Do note though that the crayfish may predate on fish and shrimps. Usual rule is fins and claws don't mix, more often than not :/

I have deff considered harlequins.. i just felt that once comfortable they would not school... but i do love them. and can find them! lol

oh wait, thats something else. i see! thanks

and i totally agree about the crayfish lol. but right now, even the ghost shrimp are at least his size. and the danios are too quick for him. he has pinched the mystery snail... :O but it was trying to crawl over him LOL.
it freaked me out but he took off. no problems so far.. but i do have a lot of caves and some tubes.. lots of plants hes always climbing.

the mystery snail is the biggest thing in the tank. lol
