Actually, thinking about it I like the idea of another tang set-up. I have a shell dweller tank, but I could go for the bigger, more aggressive species in a tang tank, right? Am I right in thinking that there are shell dweller tang tanks and more rocky area tang tanks? Ha ha, tang tank sounds silly ;) I just like the idea of a proper rocky tank, so all tanks are totally different.

Nobody and Creeker, would it be something like this on a smaller scale?

lol i voted b but i ment to press A!

i love the site of massive community tanks to be honest. absolutely stunning

Staxx, if you love massive community tanks then you were meant to vote for B ;)

Anyway, thanks all for the input. Tank A is now filled with sand and water, lights are just being sorted out, then we will heat it up and tomorrow or Monday (whenever water is hot enough) all the fish of tank B and C including their mature filters will be transferred to their new huge home. Will take ages and money to sort out a proper aquascape, but I will get there hopefully. Plus, at the moment we only have internal filters, once cash allows I'm going to get two external filters to have a massive power and more room for scaping it all.

Tank B will be a marine now, tank C will be either mbuna or tang so we got a nice variety. Just need the money for it all now  Will probably be staring at two empty tanks for a while...

oh, my bad! cant wait for the picures of the big tank :good:

Phew! What a day, am shattered! All fish transferred into their big tank. There is definitely lots of movement, but I will probably reconsider stocking as I think that guppies et al look a bit lost in a huge tank. Will see.

Trying to find and catch the red cherry shrimp babies in one tank was a massive task. When I thought I had them all (the 40+ of them) I found 15 more babies! They are in their own shrimp tank now, all happy :)

Now I only need to get external filtration, gazillions of plants and a giant piece of bogwood.

See? I told you I was the most indecisive person  After transferring all the fish from the two smaller tanks to the big one I am not really happy with it. It just doesn't feel right, like a waste of an amazing tank.

So, after another discussion in the house we decided that it will stay like this for now, but once funds come in from autumn on (new job) we will go for option A and convert the big one to a marine. Went to LFS and I was straight happy again, looking at the huge selection of marine fish and invertebrates. Plus we had a chat with a lady who has a 6ft marine tank and she calmed my husband down and said it was not that difficult and the bigger the better.

So, option B at the moment and option A in a few months time. I will also buy a new tank as tank B, we are getting a Juwel Rio 180 which will be perfect for the fast moving community fish and it fits perfectly in the space we have. And the gouramis and some tankmates will also get a bigger tank as tank C, so all happy :)

Just so you know what it looks like now, here is a picture. Sorry for blue lights, the man is currently installing white lights. I just chucked everything in from other tanks and I wouldn't get the aquascape right. At least with marine I can build the biggest live rock and coral wall that I can dream of and I can enjoy aquascaping two more managable tropical tanks.
