if there was a variety of guppy that you would most like to breed, which would it be? and why?

Me too, a big healthy one. Unlike Lisa, I am very fond of guppies, but I think more for their personalities than for the colours. I don't insist on them looking like plecs, but I would certainly like to see more healthy-looking gups in the shops. You'd probably get more expert opinions in the livebearer forum though.

yaeh ok ingested but i'm looking for ideas of varieties that would enhance my interest of of guppies
i've got a few selections already but because the web at the moment is rather weak i thuoght that some on would have an idea of good varieties anyway will post this in livebaearers thankyou for your response

You know, I just love my guppies, but I wish they could be bigger and mid tank rather than top tank. That way I'd be able to see them better.

I would breed a variety that thrived in soft acidic water....
Really though, despite the fact that I think alot of the varieties of male guppies look beautiful, I prefer the wild type. And even then, I prefer the females because they have a nicer body shape.

edit:not like that.......lol that sounds a bit weird. You know what i mean lol.

i think the female are awesome. just set up a new tank with only females in (3) (60Litres) ]

got 3 with no colour pigment to them at all, just pure grey and boring but still beautiful

try adding some sinking algae tablets to your tank my guppies adore them and stay at the bottom until they have demolished the lot, you get a good view of them then

i got a pinapple that is the colour of this fish at the top of this forum and totally an awesome boy, hoping to breed from him

then i got some lime lyretails that are slightly to young to breed but their next on my list

followed by a black tux that i got today

and finally a male and female moscow blue that have been ordered

but still looking for the rarest variety, never had an interest in variety until now
