What Would Look Nice With These?

sorry to through a spanner into the works but in all my years of fishkeeping ive never seen a clown loach get over 6 inches. plus i have had 1 for about 3 years from an old friend who i dont no how long he had it before me and id say it has gained half a centermeter. its still tiny. and its in a four foot tank and will stay in there for a number of years yet. keep your loaches!!! if they get to big, then get rid of them. people buy far more silver sharks and tin foil barbs for there tanks and they get even bigger!! not saying everyone on here is wrong, far from it, just everything doesnt have to b done by the book because we all know how varied books and "facts/infomation" are. and as for your siamese fighter, if he attacks anything, get rid, but ive also had a few over the years and ive never seen them attack any fish of mine. maybe i was lucky. good luck and i havent meant to offend lol!!

kool thanks ,,i phoned the place up and the guy said that the loaches will take years to reach anything too big for my tank if at all so that just backs up what you say.
and the fighter seem very dosile atm
thanks for your opinions folks there all taken onboard :D

would a clown fish be ok in this tank???
its just my 4 year old would really like a nemo lol

The clown fish is a marine fish and needs saltwater and hence can't be put into a tropical freshwater tank.

You need to go with tropical or marine and can't mix them. Marine is for the more experienced fish keeper and plus you will find the fish are much more expensive and harder to care for.

No, given a tank of sufficient size it will not take long for them to get too big...

Let me put it this way... I had some in a 120 litre tank, and they had to be rehomed after just a few of months as they were already pushing for inches (they were about 1.5 to 2 inches when I got them)

They grow quickly initially, up until about 6 inches. If they grow slower than that for you it is because the tank is too small. If other peoples clown loaches have stayed small it is probably because they too provided inadequate housing.

I am not trying to be a spoil sport here. Just trying to do right by the fish. Or am I wasting my time?
