Hi all,

I keep reading about the importance of lighting in planted tanks but I don't really understand anything about it. I have 2 x 18 W T8 tubes in my tank. Will that be enough to keep the plant happy in my tank?

If so, how many plants and what types could I have?

On a side note, what is a good substrate starter for a planted tank? I'm wanting to keep some cory's so was thinking sand but what should go underneath that for the plants?

Can either of you guys recommend a decent/reliable plant supplier? I'm not thinking cheap, I'm thinking value and quality.

Lol, featured supplier hey? I tried looking at their site when I was looking at ukaps.org and found it wouldn't load for me... Will try again.
