Hey guys!

I brought two of these guys for my tank a few days ago! They looked amazing at the fish shop and got them for the princely sum of £4.50!
But they seem to be laying eggs! I mean ALOT of eggs! :S

I don't know what type of ram they are! I know they are definitely not German Blue Rams, I thought golden rams; but the colouring isn't as strong compared to these guys!

I also do not have a spare tank lying around :S

I have also read from two sources, that they could have had the eggs fertilized at the LFS, or they need them fertilized by a male in my tank! but i have two lovely females!

here are some snaps of them and 1 shot of them laying eggs:

The colours on the Rams still hasn't been picked up :S

They have been alot more colourful since day 1! jsut such a fantastic colour =( wish I could show you lot in real life haha

They are gold rams, there are a lot of gold rams that are being bred in Asia to have a ton of orange in them now and I reckon thats what these are. Same care as the other Rameriez (spelling) high temperature low ph :)

Hey man!

Cheers for the reply!

Any idea on egg fertilization? :)

I agree with Wills they look like golds. What colour are the eggs? If there white they are infertile they should be a off white brown colour.

They are white, well a very cream colour! I think they are infertile then; what a shame :( oh well =)

Cheers guys!

They might be fertile as long as there not pure white. Its hard to tell without seeing pics but i would leave them and see if they hatch. If there infertile they will get fungus soon so you can remove them then.

Beautiful colours! They`re really pretty :good:

The Gold Rams at my lfs are a very pale gold, not sure if that`s because they`re young or stressed but there`s definitely no sign of that kind of colouring.
